The Effect of Transplantation of Collagen Hydrogel with Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Burn Wound Healing in Rats
نویسندگان
چکیده مقاله:
Background: Cell therapy is one of the most challenging methods in the healing of burn wounds in the world. The present study aimed to determine the effect of collagen hydrogel with adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells on burn wound healing in an animal model. Materials and Methods: The present study was experimentally performed on 24 Wistar rats. Burn wounds were created on the skin of rats. Then, the rats were divided into a control group treated with normal saline and a group treated with collagen hydrogel with adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells. The healing process of burn wounds was quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated at intervals of every seven days for 21 days. The obtained data were analyzed in the form of burn wound healing parameters using one-way ANOVA. Results: The wound area was traced on days 7, 14, and 21 in the treatment group which was significantly smaller than that in the control group, indicating a faster wound healing in the treatment group compared to the control one (P>0/05). Conclusion: Mesenchymal stem cells transferred by hydrogel to the wound site rapidly heal burn wounds; therefore, evaluating the use of this dressing in the healing of burn wounds is important in clinical cases.

Introduction: Diabetes is rising worldwide and impaired wound healing is one of its major complications. This study aimed to determine the effects of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on wound healing in diabetic rats. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, abdominal adipose tissue was obtained from 10 patients who underwent an abdominoplasty. MSCs were isolated from adi...

متن کاملEvaluation of the Effects of Adipose Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Cultured on Decellularized Amniotic Membrane in Wound Healing of Distal Part of the Limbs in Horse
Background: Equine wounds, particularly those involving the distal portion of the limbs, often undergo prolonged complex healing and may enter a non-healing state with obvious financial and welfare implications. Poor blood supply and lower levels of oxygen to the lower limbs lead to imbalance of growth factors related to wound healing. Decellular amniotic membrane has been widely used in soft t...

Objective(s): Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AT-MSCs) with more potent immunomodulatory effects, greater proliferative potential and secretion of growth factors and cytokines in comparison with bone marrow derived MSCs are more appropriate for cell therapy. The aims of the present study were to evaluate the histomorphometric effect of AT-MSCs allotransplantation on regeneration ...
